Heidi’s fight to survive has required great personal and financial sacrifice. Access to the brightest professionals at the best medical institutions and the appropriate rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities has come at great financial expense. Heidi is currently covered by Minnesota Medical Assistance and therefore she is allowed to keep only $81 per month from her Social Security Disability Income and Long-Term Disability Insurance policy. Furthermore, Heidi may maintain a balance of no more than $2,000 in her personal checking account.
A Supplemental Needs Trust titled “Heidi’s Angels Trust” has been established to provide supplemental and extra care over and above that which the government provides. Given Heidi’s unique needs, insurance and government benefits cover only a portion of her medical, rehabilitation and lifestyle expenses. To date, more than 200 corporations, organizations and individuals have generously given to the Heidi’s Angels Trust. Your non-tax deductible contributions to the “Heidi’s Angels Trust” will help Heidi continue to fight to regain the vitality she once enjoyed and improve her quality of life in unimaginable ways.
Special Note: The Heidi’s Angels Trust is NOT a qualified 501c-3. Please consult your tax advisor for more information regarding the treatment of donations.
